[FEATURE]: Calendar Sync with Google Calendar

Describe the feature you'd like to see

Not sure how complex adding this feature would be, but having upward sync with Google Calendar would be really nice.

With the way kanban tasks work right now these should be calendar events that span the full day/ multiple days.

any tasks added to the kanban tasks should be synced with google calendar with jotty being the source of truth for those specific tasks/events.

I think the easiest way to do this would be with some sort of google oauth sign-in within jotty.

I understand if this sort of functionality is not the direction jotty wants to go.

Yeah it's not a very easy task but it IS doable, it's currently handling majority of the legwork for something like that to work, I haven't used google calendar for integrations in a while, do you know if google calendar has a way to sync import on a schedule?

A cool idea would be to have GOOGLE integrate with the jotty api to pull data rather than jotty pushing data to google, but not sure how doable that'd be, needs to be investiageted!

As far as im aware, I think to run a thing like that on a schedule, it would have to be done outside of google calendar. I dont think there is anything in the google cloud platform that is free to be able to do that but I personally use n8n (low-code automation tool) with the google calendar api to sync events in that way.

I think I could probably achieve the scheduled sync through a tool like this but I think it would be nicer if it was done on a trigger of task creation/update. One of the next things I was going to suggest was notification framework for things like that. if that would be easier in your opinion maybe that is the direction to go?

this screenshot is basically just something Im trying to do with an AI agent in n8n using the jotty api to fully interact with the platform. (read/write/edit docs and checklists).

I think if there was a simple webhook notification system in jotty, setting up a calendar sync with google via tools like n8n would be fairly simple.

I think that's pretty cool, jotty does have websocket notifications so adding webhook events there would be fairly trivial to achieve, it's actually a pretty neat idea!

I am toying with the idea of a jotty MCP too, made one for degoog, my portfolio, a bunch for work and in all honesty it could come in handy with this kinda stuff as well!

I also saw your other feature request, but it's a whole other can of worm, so I'll take some time before properly answering haha

Speaking about this, would it be possible to include also Nextcloud Calendar into this? Maybe this would even be simpler (ics/calDAV support), and probably appeal to the mindset of many jotty users (self-hosted vs depending on big-tech).
