Screen flashes when starting Neovim while system theme is `dark`

On GNOME 49, there is a light flash when Neovim starts while the system theme is dark. I assume it's because Neovim starts from it's default theme or light theme and then suddenly changes when this plugin is loaded or on the first colorscheme change.

This flash isn't noticeable when starting Neovim from a light system theme.
