He/she, whoever this person is, doesn’t answer. Maybe this project is abandoned? Anyway, it seems you got this working. I couldn’t find the FlightStick.dll file or I am missing something.

Not abandoned, I just don't check GitHub often. I'll set it to email me for new issues.

This only supports the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. I was trying to get it to support generic sticks exposed by Windows, but I got stuck and don't have too much time to work on it.

@eduardog3000 Does it have a hardcode device name/ID that we could change to support a different device? Or is it too specific to that particular Logitech joystick?
I'm interested in getting it to work with a Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback 2 joystick.

Alternatively, have you considered implementing HOTAS/plane support into the Manual Transmission mod? It was considered at one point and it already does the heavy lifting of detecting generic/DirectInput devices, binding inputs and even supports Force Feedback which could be great for the joysticks that support it (as well as wheels used as semi-yokes).

@ThreeDeeJay I'm not super familiar with how it interacts with Windows since I just lifted JoystickLibrary with minimal changes to get it working. It does look like it has a hardcoded device ID, but there's a lot more code that's probably specific to the Extreme 3D Pro so I doubt just swapping the device ID would work. I don't really know C++ or Windows APIs well enough to understand what it's doing.

I tried to get it working with Windows.Gaming.Input.FlightStick which should be able to handle any flight stick, but like I said I was having issues getting that API to actually work. My side of the code is simple enough that if you can expose the input data to .NET, it shouldn't be too hard to adapt.

That seems to be a generic HID class GUID (perhaps related to this?), and perhaps this seems to just load the first Logitech device it finds. And I just read the ReadMe mentions that specific joystick (Extreme3DProService.hpp) but there's also JoystickService.hpp and Xbox360Service.hpp so I wonder if at least the former could be used for generic DirectInput device support. 🤔
