  Datary is a local-first terminal laboratory for preserving reproducible evidence from programs
  and simulations. It records original input alongside accepted and rejected records, calculates
  deterministic metrics and heuristic quality findings, compares experiments without silently
  resampling them, and produces plots, replay streams, and Markdown or JSON reports. Input remains
  inert, paths and output are hardened, and session manifests document assumptions and SHA-256
  corruption checks. Datary is alpha research software: it supports investigation and teaching,
  but does not authenticate authorship or establish scientific validity.
