Documentation for flashing

I am having a hard time figuring out how to flash the qmk .bin file - tried stm32cubeprogrammer, no luck. Trying with qmk compile now.
Would be nice with some docs on how to do it.

got it to work via https://github.com/dcpedit/vial-qmk/tree/pillzmod/keyboards/dcpedit/pillzmod and
make dcpedit/pillzmod/standard:default:flash

but that image does not show up in vial/via - in macos i get "wrong version". maybe the jsons needs a small update?
