I use both, and haven't had any trouble with applications trying to use the X11 backend instead of Wayland so far. But most of the applications I use are relatively modern and open source. If a user is suspicious about some application maybe using the X11 backend, they can always verify it with If some application that should use Wayland, stubbornly tries to use X11, we can use this thread to announce it and try to provide workarounds. Thank you. |
