I wanted to reach out because I made a "slop fork" of grass (à la vinext) and wanted to see if you had any interest.
I was initially looking into grass because I'm working on a project that lets you manage SCSS theming and wanted a way to speed up compilation. However, I also needed to get @use/@forward working for my project to work correctly. Long story short, I decided to see what would happen if I just let Claude keep hammering away on getting tests to pass.
Through a bit of a winding path, Claude got it down to ~100 tests, mostly depreciation warnings and precision errors.
Anyway, I know AI is a contentious topic and want to respect the time and effort folks have put into this. If you're interested, I'm happy to figure out a way to put some PRs together to avoid big wall of slop. If you hate this idea, I'm happy to keep it a fun, personal experiment.
To be clear, I'm not a Rust developer or Dart developer, so my role in this has been minimal with the exception of steering Claude.

Would love to get your thoughts. All the best.
