Hi yes, this repository is maintained, though as of right now we are just mainly aiming for stability.

There isn't currently a road map, though there should be. I would like to land #457 soon and start down the road of finally doing at least a 0.5 and heading towards a 1.0 release. Any review or consideration of that PR is appreciated.!

@cgwalters Sure. I was looking into https://github.com/uutils/tar for contrib and found that it is not moving forward because this crate doesn't have some features. That's why I asked about road-map.

I am not much knowledgeable about the PR but I would like to review it. Let me know if I can help with road-map. If there is one then I can start working on it.
