Code of Conduct

Our Pledge

We — mentors, mentees, and contributors — pledge to make participation in this program a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

Our Standards

Examples of behavior that contributes to a positive environment:

  • Using welcoming and inclusive language.
  • Being respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences.
  • Gracefully accepting constructive feedback.
  • Focusing on what is best for the community and the learner.
  • Showing empathy toward other community members.

Examples of unacceptable behavior:

  • The use of sexualized language or imagery, or unwelcome sexual attention.
  • Trolling, insulting, or derogatory comments and personal attacks.
  • Public or private harassment.
  • Publishing others' private information without explicit permission.
  • Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate.

Mentee-Specific Guidelines

  • There are no stupid questions. Ask early, ask often.
  • Mistakes are fuel. A broken repo is a story you'll tell later.
  • Celebrate others' wins. Clap for the first commit, the first PR, the first merge.

Enforcement

Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported by contacting the program maintainer. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly.
