Do init hooks still work?

I am running into a scenario where new worktree based workspaces do not run the init scripts: https://mux.md/6DFRP#_LRJ-ER1EuAlRw

This used to run every time. Not sure what changed. Anything else I should check?

My worktree based workspaces are still running the init script (v0.17.1-nightly.61-4-g9d710b13 ):

Is your init script commited? If it's not it won't appear in worktrees
