Best to generate CDK v2 project per https://docs.aws.amazon.com/cdk/v2/guide/getting_started.html

With AWS CDK V1 now in maintenance mode, it would be great to understand the timeline for this pull request being accepted or equivalent support for CDK V2 making its way into this plugin?
