Nostr already provides better reliability than this I think. What specific features do you miss from Bugout that aren't in Nostr?

I think all can be done using nostr. Private chat may take a bit more exploration in Nostr. I like the idea behind Nostr but it is not well documented, and it defines new Nips every year. It should have had a core protocol and the others should have been extensions. If it goes like the way it is, it will be a bloated unmanagable pile of Nips.
