Hi,
on arch linux I getting this error if try to use -R, -T switches:
terminated by signal SIGFPE

sudo ./linux-serial-test -e -T -p /dev/ttyUSB0
Linux serial test app

sudo ./linux-serial-test -e -R -p /dev/ttyUSB0

Have you tried passing -b 115200 (or another baud rate)?
8a8aba3 relies on _cl_baud which defaults to zero (meaning we end up with division-by-zero). That said, I'm not sure whether 8a8aba3 caused this bug or just unveiled another issue as the help states: -b, --baud Baud rate, 115200, etc (115200 is default) (meaning: should _cl_baud default to 115200 baud?)

My gut feelings that we have to provide a sane default, also note that traditional B0 mask (for baudrate 0) in Linux usually means to get either default (which is 9600) or anything supplied via BOTHER.

Yeah, it seems this was the issue, so it does not apply default baud rate 115200 without the -b parameter :
