Can't find certain books

Might be a stupid issue, but I can't seem to find certain books which I can find when looking directly on Z-Library or Lib Gen.
For "Platform Decay" by Martha Wells, for instance, I get a "No results found" error on Shelfmark but I found the book on the sources mentioned above, which seem to be set up properly in the settings.
I can find other books (I've just tried with a bunch of popular names, such as Stephen King and Ken Follett, and I'm getting results), but for some books I don't get any results, even though they're supposed to be there.

As much as I look at the settings I can't seem to understand if it's an error on my side, or if it's an actual bug.

Adding to this - if I toggle off AA in download sources, a book search still returns AA results. If I then delete all the AA mirrors (leaving zlib, libgen and welib mirrors) then 'direct download' tab doesn't even appear in search results despite the other sources being toggled on.

Nice catch!
Now that you mentioned this, I checked and the books I can't find on Shelfmark (but which I found on Z Library) aren't on AA, so it seem like Shelfmark is only searching on AA and ignoring the other sources.

Just to add... ABB search is missing books that are there. The Gollem and the Jinni for example.

for what its worse, I think I have the same issue and I made a pull request about it #1031
missing result come from missing language , I made it look throught the distant path to get language if there is any.

Since my Request is not accepted for now I build an image of my fork, you can test it if you want and tell me if you think thats good or not.

you can find the option to activate extended search in the direct download setting menu.
One thing:
you need to search under all language to retrieve book that doesn’t have language filled but have a language in the path (because if you search under your language, it will of course only retrieve the result who have your language in the language field).
It will retrieve also book in other language and you can filter out yours just after the data retrieval.
Don’t know if I’m really clear.
I’ll probably resolve this issue but it mean search for all result by default and filter language locally instead of using AA filter directly

Somehow for me, Shelfmark does not even list close the results of searching AA directly.
For e.g the Author Christine M. Piotrowski in AA returns more than 30 results.

Over shelfmark I only get one result and does not find a download source for it.

Any idea ?
