WHAT IS COVERED
Ekaterina Kuzmina is the author of the work in this repository: the BeCoMe library, the
FastAPI backend, the React application, the test suites, the documentation, the deployment
configuration and the tooling. She wrote it at the Faculty of Economics and Management,
Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. Two sets of files are exceptions, listed below.
THE METHOD THIS SOFTWARE IMPLEMENTS
The BeCoMe (Best-Compromise Mean) method is not the work of this author. Ivan Vrana,
Jan Tyrychtr and Martin Pelikan published it:
Vrana, I., Tyrychtr, J., & Pelikan, M. (2021). BeCoMe: Easy-to-implement optimized
method for best-compromise group decision making: Flood-prevention and COVID-19 case
studies. Environmental Modelling & Software, 136, 104953.

Copyright covers expression rather than ideas, so the licence above applies to this source
code and makes no claim over the method, which anyone remains free to implement. What those
authors are owed is citation, and this file gives it.
THIRD-PARTY CODE IN THIS REPOSITORY
The 23 files under frontend/src/components/ui/, together with frontend/src/lib/utils.ts and
frontend/src/hooks/use-toast.ts, are shadcn/ui component sources generated by its CLI, as
frontend/components.json records. They are MIT licensed and their notice is reproduced here
because they carry none of their own:

api/data/disposable_email_domains.txt is a hand-maintained list of throwaway-mail providers
collected from public sources, as the docstring of api/services/email_policy.py records. A
list of domain names is fact rather than authorship.
CASE-STUDY DATA AND REFERENCE VALUES
The three expert panels in examples/data/ (budget, floods, pendlers) and the expected
results in tests/reference/ originate from the method authors' own Excel workbook. This
repository reproduces them so the test suite can check its own results against theirs.
It matches to within 0.001 on every run. Credit for that data belongs to the method's
authors, not to this author.
BUNDLED TYPEFACES
api/assets/fonts/ carries four TrueType files, embedded into every PDF the export
endpoint produces. All three families are licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1,
and the licence text ships beside them:
Inter-Regular.ttf, Inter-SemiBold.ttf Copyright 2016 The Inter Project Authors
github.com/rsms/inter, Inter-OFL.txt
JetBrainsMono-Regular.ttf Copyright 2020 The JetBrains Mono
Project Authors
github.com/JetBrains/JetBrainsMono,
JetBrainsMono-OFL.txt
PlayfairDisplay.ttf Copyright 2017 The Playfair Display Project
Authors, with Reserved Font Name
"Playfair Display"
github.com/clauseggers/Playfair-Display
(build taken from github.com/google/fonts),
PlayfairDisplay-OFL.txt
The files are the upstream releases, unmodified. That matters for the reserved name:
OFL 1.1 forbids a modified version from carrying it, and subsetting the file before
shipping would make one. reportlab builds its own subset in memory when it writes a PDF,
which is embedding rather than redistribution, so the shipped files stay original.
These replaced DejaVu Sans, which this project previously bundled without recording it
here -- an omission this section also settles, since the Bitstream Vera licence it ships
under asks for the same acknowledgement.
