Python GUI?

Hi. I can't seem to get this script to run at all. Are you using the Python IDLE GUI or Terminal to run this on the JSS server? I'm a bit confused about exactly how to launch this. I have the .csv file all ready to go on the Desktop.

Any help would be most appreciated!

Are you having issues with a particular script? Make sure you are editing the script to have your JSS information and not just the blank information I leave in there. For instance, in teh clear_user_and_location.py file, you would edit lines 33-35 clear_user_and_location.py#L33-L35. Also in all of the headers of the Python files, I try to give an explanation for how to run the script and what to do for it to start working

Using terminal, I run the following for a csv on my Desktop.

For PC:

python clear_user_and_location.py "C:\Users\brandonusher\Desktop\devices.csv"

For Mac/Linux:

python clear_user_and_location.py "/home/brandonusher/Desktop/devices.csv"

Hi,

I am trying to run the script to Delete Users in bulk. I have inputted my
own information using BB Edit. I am not sure if I need to change the
"ImportFile" section, or if sys.argv[1] is universal.

What I need to know is where this BB Edit script should be saved on the JSS
server, what it should be called and if I need to have the Python GUI open
at all.

Thanks for the clarification.

sys.argv[1] is universal and is what reads in the file to be used. You do not need to change this.

BB Edit should be saving a copy of the script onto a computer that has Python 3.4 or higher installed as well as the Requests module (see the Python README)

After you edit the script and have the prerequisites installed you then run the script from your terminal/command prompt. There isn't a place to put this on your JSS server that will allow you to run it against a CSV.
