supporting sharing multiple ports

A user reported to me privately that their Vite setup uses two ports, one for BE and one for FE hot reloading, and this doesn't work over one port in exe.dev. This is vite dev mode, presumably.

That's right. VIte is on 5173 (say) and BE web server on 8000 (say) and it would not be possible for me to show this setup to another person, do live debugging, etc., unless I could share two ports publicly.

Not a showstopper for personal dev - VS Code remoting works fine.

Not even as showstopper for sharing the work, as I could compile the FE code and statically serve it from the BE server with its attendant single open port. I just can't hot-patch a FE sitting on a public user's machine.
