I am using Linux. I have installed the golang package, and I don't feel like this should not be enough for something to build from github just to try things out. I know nothing about go, and I believe that the package should take care of environment variables if they are needed.

There are a few variants of Linux, so I prefer not to build a binary for Linux. I'll add some instructions on installing Go and setting up the environment to build.
