Hi,

I have installed Nettk on centos 7 with run level 5 mode.

while running the nettkanalysis.py getting the attahed issue.

kindly help me to solve this issue to explore nettk tool.

My guess is that you're not running the core tracer. Meaning,

sudo python ./netTK.py & # This needs to be running to update the db
python ./netTKAnalysis.py

That first line must be running to add info into the database for the analysis portion.

I logged into this system as root user only.
Anyway i have executed as you siad .
Still facing the same issue and attched the screenshot for your reference.

Kinldy confirm how freuent the the check will happen ? and where the data will stored ?

So it will definitely create the table within a second. Two things:

1. In the folder you're running this from, there should be a "NetTK.db" file. Please run sqlite3 NetTK.db .dump and sqlite3 NetTK.db .schema and post here
2. After, try deleting that file and running ./netTK.py and then ./netTKAnalysis.py

As you said I run those command and attached the screenshot.

kindly confirm when i run those commands will it create .dump & .schema files on same folder. If yes i did not see any files like that when i run sqlite3 command.

i think youu are telling me to delete .dump & .schema files and run netTk right.

i did that still same error.

So your .dump does show that the database is being populated. Specifically in your example it had 2 entries for slashdot ping.

Can you actually ping google directly? It appears that scapy is attempting to ping google and likely getting dropped.

ping -c 10 google.com

I have created a docker image for nettk. You can try it with:

sudo docker run -it --rm -e DISPLAY=$DISPLAY -v /tmp/.X11-unix/:/tmp/.X11-unix --network=host bannsec/nettk

I have downloaded the nettk docker image from docker hub .

And have started the container.

as shown above i logged into that container and executed ./netTk.py & and then ./netTKAnalysis.py.

getting the below error.
any idea.

Note: i have centos system and it is running on my vmware workstation on my laptop.

Did you actually run the docker command i gave? Your DISPLAY has not been set.

i executed as you have mentioned

i think when i run this command it will create a container and it will go inside the container too right.

as when i run ls command am seeing the nettk files and binaries. thus i am confirming you that i am there in inside the container .

and after that i waited for 1 hour then executed the nettkAnalysis.py command and attaching the screnshot.
