Feature request: Quick Start Template for TypeScript Serverless APIs

I wish SAM CLI offers the capability to automatically scaffold AWS Quick Start - serverless APIs for TypeScript.

Proposal

Add a nodejs14.x/nodejs16.x - TypeScript option on sam init process for Quick Start templates of Serverless APIs.

Additional Details

I know that the issue # 225 was closed however the suggestion aren't about hello-world-typescript template, its about the serverless-api-typescript template to explore sam with typescript for manipulating the ddb (dynamodb).

Hi, thanks for suggesting this feature! This sounds like something that can be added to the serverless API templates. In the mean time, if any community members wanted to contribute feel free to fork and submit a PR!

i just tried the found that in sam cli 7 - Serverless API option creates a javascript project instead of a typescript app.
+1 for this issue.
