Summary

I'm requesting TIFF file format support.

Motivation

I use a lot of .tiff images for markdown files that I write at work. Sometimes I accidentally click in a .tiff image in the files tab and atom tries to read it as a text file, leading to the editor freezing for a few seconds. I know it's not one of the most common image file format these days, although graphic designers (like me) tend to use it a lot.
