Python 2/3 Compatibility

SMHR is still currently only python 2 compatible, but it should be transitioned to be both-compatible.

I dunno, if we can make it to just be Python 3 compatible (with whatever traits/pyside/pyqt is most stable) then we save ourselves a lot of deprecation efforts.

I'm all for freezing a current branch as python 2, then continuing all future development in python 3.
