I also tested the blank FF profile, it is normal. However, in my profile, even disabling all other extensions, memory leaks occur when only worldbrain is enabled.

But the focus of the current job is the webmemex, won't this bug be fixed?

To your question: The memory problem is likely architectural, so it'll take too much time to fix.
We should soon be able to release the refactored version though, where those problems are worked out.
