[Bug Report] Connection issue

Connection problems since February, 9 2026
Not connecting neither through regular connection nor VPN. Other services and internet itself goes okay.

WALC Installation Type: AppImage 0.3.3

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Try to lauch the program. In my case it fails on start with the connection error.

Not sure, since other clients works without an issue

Me too, noticed on last few days. It returns:

"Not Connected
Cannot access WhatsApp Web Service. This page will reload as soon as you are back online."

Tried to unlink WALC from my main whatsapp device and re-link as whatsapp linked device, but nothing changed. Same error as above.

Happened after updating the "internal" whatsapp version.

Same here. Fixed it for a little while by deleting cache (~/.config/walc/...), but it was back soon.

Doesn't look like anything is going to happen here. I have switched to using a PWA for Firefox in the meantime, works like a charm. Firefox needs a plugin for that, Chromium (Chrome) has native support, I believe.
