AccountingFactor - clarification needed

AccountingFactor appears in AccountableElement and in DriverTrip. The problem are inconsistent types and descriptions for the two elements, also differing between documentation and xsd.

Which description should apply?
'Accounting Factor to use for the the ACCOUNTABLE ELEMENT'
'How long the run takes to prepare.'
'Accounting code to use for DRIVER TRIP.'

Type?
xsd:duration
xsd:string
xsd:normalizedString

Or perhaps xsd:decimal?

My interpretation was that it is a multiplier (hence a positive xs:decimal).
