Invalid MEX-file Problem?

Hello, I'm using Windows 11, MATLAB R2024b, cmake 3.28.1, make 4.4.1, which supports C++17.

The compile process went pretty smooth. However, when I run the Matlab example interactive_cartpole.m, some problem happen.

It shows "Invalid MEX-file Unable to find specific program", which probably means the mexw64 is broken somhow , and Matlab couldn't find the functions in the mexw64 file.

I tried to verify installation, and it goes well.

I tried to recompile the project, but it turns out useless.

Is this a Windows support issue?

Ok, I explore it a bit. I realize that accroding to the official website, R2024b needs MinGW 8.1(What I have is 15.1.0).

After adding c++17 stander in the CMakeLists, the mexw64 is sucessfully complied, and it could be used in Matlab R2024b!! But the example codegen_random can't be correctly complied.

Yeah, multi-platform compatibility is really a tough problem.

Yes this would be a Windows support problem. As you discovered, it is possible to get the Matlab Mex file to compile, but the underlying TinyMPC codebase itself has compilation issues. Windows support for both TinyMPC and TinyMPC-Matlab is on the roadmap for the future.

Currently, for Windows users I'd recommend installing Matlab in WSL and cloning/running the repository in a WSL terminal - which worked well for me during development. Happy to post more information if needed, thanks again!
