I encountered frequent crashes/segmentation faults when connecting and using two Single Joy-Cons simultaneously (individual single controller mode, NOT combined Dual Joy-Con mode). The crash triggers very consistently and frequently during active gameplay when both motion controls (IMU) and button inputs are processed at the same time. This issue is particularly severe when the controllers are held in a horizontal orientation.
- Connect a pair of Joy-Cons as two separate Single Joy-Con players.
- Enter gameplay or configuration testing where high-frequency input is required.
- Hold the controllers horizontally and perform rapid button presses while moving the controllers to trigger motion/gyro data output simultaneously.
- The application crashes to desktop (CTD) or freezes within a short period of active use.
