Bulk finding import into a new project - feature request

Hi guys,

My apologies if this is a duplicate or if you’re already considering this for a future release.

Is there any possibility of developing a Bulk New Finding feature? We deal with several compliance-heavy projects where findings are repeatable. Being able to pre-populate the same set of findings would allow us to start working on the content immediately and save a significant amount of time compared to adding them one by one. This feature can be also "by tag", it help either way.

This looks like a nice feature idea. We'll discuss how this could be best implemented.

In the meantime, it might be an option to use the FindingFromTemplate plugin of reptor? https://docs.sysreptor.com/cli/projects-and-templates/findingfromtemplate/

It might be possible to implement this feature using a multi-select combo box.
This would mean that when the dropdown is open and one finding is clicked, the dropdown wouldn't close (1). This could require an extra click when adding just one finding template (closing the dropdown). The "Create from template" button would, however, be still visible, so closing the dropdown wouldn't be necessary (3; though most users would probably still close it).

The combobox also needs to hold multiple finding templates (2). It might be necessary to make the selected finding template item more compact.

Hi @aronmolnar , thanks for considering this. A multi-select combo box to bulk import findings into the project sounds good!

This box will most probably be in sync with the select multiple projects and mark them as finished or delete functionality.

Personally, I do not see an issue with the extra click when adding just one finding template for step 1.

For step 2, you could rename the button to “Create from Template(s).

Additionally, you can remove the + button for the Findings function and replace its pop-up menu with a normal page within the project (same as Additional Tools from my picture), while keeping the sorting functionality (Default order).
