I have moved the thematic / text-based imperial circles narrative to a new branch and thus separated it from my map work:

I have changed the order of the interface a bit to align more with reading habits in the humanities:
Above all, I have integrated a toggle so that the right column can be hidden when people want to focus on reading the texts.
The main focus of this demo is to how to integrate annotations (e.g. biographical information) and original historical sources, both of which I am managing via the "backpack" functionality right now.
Here is an example of a biographical note embedded as a backpack item:
What I still want to integrate is a short quiz per location through which you can gain or loose score points. I will only implement this for a few sample locations in the beginning, but it should be enough to show what's possible.
