Optional Google Maps API Keys Setting

I've noticed this warning today:

Google Maps API warning: NoApiKeys
https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#no-api-keys

I don't find a system setting or a plugin property to store the key.

As far as I know API keys are still not enforced, but I guess it would be a good idea to have an option to include them in the API call.

For those looking to fix this, key needs to be added into line 2 of assets/components/mapstv/js/mgr/mapstv.js

document.write('<script src="http://maps.google.com/maps/api/js?key=YOUR KEY HERE"><\/script>');

Key needs to be authorized for both Google Maps Javascript API and Google Maps Geocoder API

Hopefully soon manually editing the javascript file can be replaced with a system setting.

Hi there, I was having this problem and then added [[+key]] to my chunk for the JSONtoChunk snippet and I now have maps rendering without problem on the front end. But suddenly I am having issues with this Oops! Something Went Wrong message in the backend...

Everything was working fine until about 10 days ago.

Any suggests

Using MODX 2.6.3
MODX Cloud
PHP 7.1
Google Maps TV 1.1.0-pl

I have checked the error log for this problem and get the following message:

Declaration of MapsTvInputRender::process($value, $params = Array) should be compatible with modTemplateVarRender::process($value, array $params = Array)

The API for the site has been placed in the system setting and I've used the placeholder [[+key]] in the front end which seems to have caused an issue.

Still got this problem and having been trying to figure out what is causing the issue.

In the browser console the following error appears:

Google Maps JavaScript API error: ApiNotActivatedMapError
https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#api-not-activated-map-error

The API is activated and the maps render on the front end but not in the backend...

I am guessing its something to do with the API changes with Google maps https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/v2tov3

Issue with the Declaration of MapsTvInputRender was resolved with this fix

And the google maps API issue was corrected by updating the MapsTv plugin call to Google API on line 24 with:

// Add the Google Maps api to the resource form $source = '//maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js';

There was also an issue with a duplicate API which was obviously not MODX related. Finally all working correctly.
