Roadkill offers several distinct modes:
| Mode | Description |
|---|---|
| Race | First to complete the required laps or reach the finish line wins. |
| Elimination | The last-place vehicle is eliminated at intervals until one remains. |
| Last Vehicle Standing | Destroy all opposing vehicles to win. |
| Objective | Complete a defined objective (e.g., capture zones, collect items) before your opponents. |
Modes are available in both local multiplayer and online play.
Each vehicle class has distinct characteristics:
- Light / Nimble – High speed and acceleration, low armor. Best for race modes and evasion.
- Medium / Balanced – Good all-around performance for mixed modes.
- Heavy / Combat Rig – High armor and firepower, lower top speed. Dominant in elimination and last-vehicle-standing.
New vehicles and skins are unlocked through play and progression.
