Some users have asked about whether we simulate partially emptying manure storages.
Describe the solution you'd like
Ideally we would be able to simulate real world scenarios in which manure storages are not fully emptied: this would require at least the addition of X% emptied on Y interval.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Instead of emptying on an interval (as now), the user could instead specify the day of the year some amount of emptying occurs. This could happen more than once per year, perhaps, e.g. the user specifies 10% emptied May 15th, then 20% June 15th, and so on.
If more detail needs to be added to where or how manure emptying occurs, a more thorough solution could perhaps extend the logic in the manure streams input files, but this may quickly become intractable (especially if multiple emptying events can be specified...it's a lot to coordinate across input files).
