Error 0xC000001E is STATUS_INVALID_LOCK_SEQUENCE.

That seems to be caused by the Crinkler code using SSE4.2 instructions, specifically CRC32 one:

0x004000AB: [F2 0F 38 F0 87 00 00 00 00] crc32   eax, byte ptr [edi+0]

Since your CPU doesn't support it, it should throw 0xC000001D which is STATUS_ILLEGAL_INSTRUCTION but this specific encoding of CRC32 with two prefixes (F2/REPNE, 0F/LOCK) triggers invalid lock sequence instead.

Crinkler has added SSE4.2 as a requirement starting with version 3.0:

27.02.26: 3.0:  Support any number of parts, instead of just code and data.
                Improved model hashing using CRC32, saving 3 bytes in header.
                Crinkler and the EXE files it produces now require SSE4.2.

Workaround is to use older 2.3 version.

@JoachimHenze If you are ok with using command line tools you can build the fixed version yourself. Download source code, MASM32, and Crinkler (version 2.3) and then build trpad.exe using provided build.bat. Otherwise, wait for Dave to rebuild it and update the repository.
