Right now, pressing pause or resume stops and starts the music instantly. This creates a sharp, unpleasant jump in volume, especially on headphones.
Describe the solution you'd like
Add a settings toggle for "Fade on Pause/Resume". When active, pausing a track should lower the volume over 300 milliseconds before stopping completely. Resuming should turn the volume up from zero to full over the same time.
Describe alternatives you've considered
I tried searching for this setting in the playback options, but it does not exist. The only current alternative is to manually lower the device volume before pausing, which is not convenient.
