Tracking issue for the HBN 'The Present' ERSP practicum threaded through Weeks 3-9.
Research question: Do early (0-500 ms) neural responses differ when a movie shot opens with the boy vs the puppy? Metric: event-related spectral perturbation (ERSP) aligned to shot onsets.
Dataset: HBN-EEG R3 (ds005507). Development on R3-mini (100 Hz, 20 subjects) until pipeline is validated.
Contrast selected: Boy-only vs Puppy-only (has_boy=1 AND has_puppy=0 vs has_boy=0 AND has_puppy=1), 20 vs 15 trusted shots. Cleanest social-stimulus contrast; LLR used as regressor of no interest.
Phases
Each phase is a sub-issue, a branch, and a PR. Phase 2+ are opened once Phase 1 merges.
