Different sources structure

At the moment the sources are two files: the xml and the php.
It may be worth to split them up similarly to the destination, with a directory for each of them and more than just one file (up to one per step).

TBH I'm not sure if 2.0 or 3.0.

If you ask me, I would say to leave it as it is for 2.0. It looks (to me) a big rewrite which would void many of the things already implemented...
