Can not find the minimum CV values

Hello,

I have ~1000 maize samples and genotyped them. When I do population structure analysis with admixture, continuous decrease in CV value (K=1~10). After filter out some samples with kinship, I got a minimum CV value at K=4, and I think it is meaningful. Why is this happening? For the 1000 lines, how to obtain a suitable K value?
