Just some notes about what we have discussed so far; will deliberate later

• In 1.0 we preferred to adopt lit-html for templating
• In 2.0 we introduced an integrated template engine, but kept support for adopting lit-html
• In 3.0 we could consider removing support for pluggable template engines
