CONUS404 data not volume rendering on Mac arm64

To reproduce on MacOS arm64:

1. Acquire a file following file from data-access@ucar.edu
   scp <username>@data-access.ucar.edu:/glade/campaign/collections/rda/data/d559000/wy2005/200508/wrf3d_d01_2005-08-29_08:00:00.nc .
2. Import it and create a volume renderer. Warnings will be emitted to the console and the rendering will not appear. Vapor does work with this data on Casper.

I wonder if this is an issue with the post processed data.
I tried with the file on RDA and it seems to be working.

@StasJ I'm seeing this with Katrina as well but it's hard to reproduce. I'll just note that I'm doing this on an external monitor with a closed laptop.

1. Download the attached zip file and open its session. It should have an enabled Volume renderer, looking down the Z axis
2. In very small increments, move the camera towards the eye of the hurricane bit by bit. Vapor eventually crashes for me after issuing the following error. Sometimes I can get a crash after 10 rerenderings, but other times I've needed to zoom in or out ~100 times.

@sgpearse you forgot to attach the zip file, however, could you please specify the steps to reproduce without using a session file as we discussed in our meeting?

Sorry, it looks like the zip file failed to upload. To reproduce without a session:

1. Import wrfout_d02_2005-08-29_15. This can be found in /glade/campaign/cisl/vast/vapor/data/Source/WRF/Katrina, but I don't think this specific file matters.
2. Create a Volume Renderer of QCLOUD, with the left-most opacity widget dragged to the bottom of the Y axis
3. Incrementally zoom into the domain. I'm able to get a crash after 6 renderings on my latest try, but like I said earlier it sometimes takes > 100.
