      <h2>What actually happens here</h2>
      <p>
        The loop runs on a fixed rhythm. Each pass has to leave something real on disk —
        code, a measurement, a written decision. Passes that produce only opinions are
        counted as failures.

        Before anything sizeable gets built, a separate critic pass tries to kill the idea:
        it is given only the raw proposal and the numbers, never the enthusiasm behind them.
        It has a veto and uses it. Several projects have died there, which is the point.
