ME3Tweaks Mod Manager 9.2.1 (Build 137) changelog #516

Description

@Mgamerz

ME3Tweaks Mod Manager 9.2.1 is a feature and bugfix update currently on the Beta channel.

Warning

This build has significant changes under the hood and may have issues. Please report issues to the ME3Tweaks Discord or this Github page.

New features

  • LE1 Global TLK Override is available via the Autoload-v13 ASI that is automatically deployed by this version of Mod Manager. This allows developers to override TLK strings similar to LE2 and LE3 rather than having to target individual package files with the TLK Merge feature. Using this feature requires additional setup for mods.

Changed features

Warning

Bio2DA tables used with the M3DA feature that have been created with LEX builds newer than July 19 2026 should not be used on Mod Manager 9.2 or lower builds as the way they are serialized has changed. No existing mods appear to be impacted but if your M3DA 2DA table(s) uses indexed columns you should mark your minimum build as 137 or they will serialize wrong.

  • Italian localization updated
  • Embedded ASI manifest/bundle updated to 07/21/2026 set
  • The ME3Tweaks Updater Service Uploader has been removed. This was a feature that select developers from the ME3 (2012) scene could use to allow delta updates for mods, but it is no longer functional and is not used for Legendary Edition
  • Loading indicator for a game's mods in the library has been updated to be more load-y looking
  • New text is shown while the library is reloading rather than "No mods in library!" showing while the currently shown library is empty during a reload
  • Batch installer should prompt you less for backups if you don't have one. It should ask you a total of one time depending on how the batch group is set up and where the first time a backup may be relevant shows up. If you decline, it shouldn't ask you again during that batch install
  • ME3TweaksModManager now uses shared methods in ME3TweaksCore rather than its own implementation. This should not have any effects but may crop up as there were some slight differences that were rectified.
  • Embedded log viewer should now render faster and use less memory due to parsing improvements to the javascript component
  • If tutorial images haven't loaded on first boot, they will automatically load in once available and you're in the tutorial

Bugfixes

  • "Download all" button in mod updater dialog was not respecting the checkbox's value for use-in-app-updater Download all button doesn't respect the use in-app updater checkbox #509
  • Fixed 'Prefer compressing packages' string resolving wrong in the options dialog
  • Fixed "Open in explorer" not working when the mod had a comma in the name
  • Fixed PMU overrides running in reverse mount priority order Pmu changes were overwritten despite having higher mount priority #511
  • Fixed files with "DLC" in the name in LE1 not being tracked for basegame. This was due to EoR dumping Bring Down the Sky into basegame for the PS3 port and the code to skip DLC files being too lax
  • Fix 'Apply mod' not being clickable directly after import even though mod is automatically selected [Bug] [UI] Apply Mod button state not tracking after import #518
  • Fix identical texture mods being available on both the available list and the 'in-batch-queue' list My texture mods are doubling #517
  • Fix installer prechecks not running due to 9.2 refactoring of mod installer [Bug] Installer prechecks not running #522
  • Save selector will no longer crash out if a mod has malformed areamap data in its config files. The offending entries are logged.
  • Fix download manager stalling if you cancel more downloads than the allowed concurrent amount as it would not free slots nor trigger the next download
  • Fix diagnostics appearing to stall when checking BTP TFC mips as it did not report progress but could take some time
  • Fix mergemods not tracking properly when a merge mod is reinstalled and the resulting file is identical - it would drop previous record information which would make mods looks like they weren't installed when they actually were
  • Linux - most of these are courtesy of @D2ans0:
    • Improvements to fetching hardware information
    • Improvements to font rendering
    • Improvements to window rendering
    • Restore feature now works - requires host system to have rsync installed
    • Don't use dark mode. It is very busted in WINE.

Note: Legendary Explorer Core in Mod Manager 9.2 is aligned with Legendary Explorer 6.5 Stable.
