Tooltips do not display in the node selector

I do not know what is causing this either, but you cannot see the tooltips in the node selector. It
works in the demo in the library fork (I developed this feature on top of an unmaintained library),
but not in the project it was designed for. Should take an hour, might take much longer
depending on how debugging goes.
