Import failure and infinite loading

First of all, thanks a lot for this amazing project! It saved me a lot of time!

I don’t know what is happening with the Codex app after the update, but nothing works as it should anymore. There are some issues that I have encountered, and all of them are related to codex-auth.

1. When I add more than 1 account (simply log in to Codex, then run in Git Bash codex-auth login), in the list the previous account becomes 401. And when I switch to it, I get infinite loading. However, when I log in using the app itself, everything works normally, so the problem seems to happen mainly when using Git Bash.

2. All imported accounts from backup return 401, and again, switching to them causes infinite loading. That’s a big problem for me because for some accounts I no longer have access to the email anymore.

Please tell me what I am doing wrong. Do I need to wait for an update? Is it an OpenAI problem?

Thanks for the report.

I have not found the root cause yet, so I cannot provide a proper fix right now. I’ll keep investigating and update this issue once I know more.

Could you please run the following command and share the exact error output?

npx @loongphy/codex-auth@next list

If you used “Log out”, Codex may revoke that account’s authorized access token. After the token is revoked, codex-auth list will show that account as 401.

For adding another account, I recommend using codex login or codex-auth login, then restarting the Codex app.

Yes, after manually logging in to the Codex app and using codex-auth login, I log out using Codex, then log in to another account and run codex-auth login again. Between switching from one account to another, I kill Codex from the Task Manager, and after opening it again, I get infinite loading. I try to say that The first account works until I log in to the second one, after which the first account becomes 401 and cannot be used anymore. Hope that helps you understand what is causing the problem!
