Issue: Kernel panic on updating CachyOS

(Kernel Panic report and update details linked)

Workaround: Switching to UKI (adding ENABLE_UKI=yes in /etc/default/limine)

So far issue reproduced on kernel:

  • v7.0.5-2-cachyos
  • v7.0.9-1-cachyos
  • v7.0.9-arch1-1

Issue not seen in:

  • v7.03.1-cachyos
  • v.6.18.32-1-cachyos-lts

note: issue was present once on the LTS kernel, but I am unable to reproduce it.

Workarounds:

  • Disabling kms hook
  • Enabling UKI
  • Disabling checksums
