Need New Maintainers

Issues are starting to pile up, pull requests pending review for half a year. The project is near-death at the moment which is a shame.

@KevinVandy it's totally ok if you don't have time to work on this anymore, but please consider letting the community step up so the project doesn't die completely.

Can we discuss adding on some additional maintainers?

With 53 thumbs and no response, is it perhaps time to consider a community fork? I'd prefer not to go that route, but I also would like to update to Mantine 8 and this is holding us back from doing so cleanly. @KevinVandy - have you been able to give any thought about adding maintainers? This is such a good package overall that I'd hate to lose what you've started here.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but your track record does not infuse much confidence in your ability to maintain this project — and that's ok, we're all busy devs. And like @spencermize said, we are incredibly grateful for the work you have done and want to keep it alive. So please let us help you!

I'd really implore you to consider adding maintainers. The code base is established enough that I think the right maintainers will be able to keep it aligned with your vision and keep it updated / working as changes come in from upstream mantine / tanstack. Keeping the same npm package name and github repo is an infinitely better solution than forking (@nestjsx/crud is a perfect horror story of what happens when maintainers abandon a project and the dozens of fragmented forks make attempts at keeping it alive instead of working together)

And of course if/when you do have some time to dedicate to the project it will surely benefit even further from additional input and oversight.

Very willing to be a maintainer. We use this library a lot in my organization and would love to keep it alive.

I'm currently using mantine-react-table-open as I needed to update to Mantine 8 but hope to switch back once this is updated!

we would like to upgrade MRT to work with Mantine 8. I saw the fork, and Im also considering moving to mantine-datatable, but it takes a lot of effort for us because we are using subrows of MRT which are not natively supported in datatable.

@KevinVandy if you could even just create a new release with already-merged commits that haven't yet been released, that would be super helpful! As far as I can tell there are 39 commits ready to be released.

I was looking to upgrade to mantine 8, but im taking it i wont be able to do that as the current version of MRT has a dependency on 7?

@SteveDowsett - We are using mantine-react-table 2.0.0-beta.9 with Mantine 8. In order to keep everything relatively happy, we had to add these overrides to the package.json as well:

      "@mantine/hooks": "^8.3.10",
      "@mantine/dates": "^8.3.10",
      "react-dom": "^19.2.3"
    }
  }

It seems to be working okay for us, but YMMV.
