What comes after 1.1.5, roughly in the order I plan to work on it. The README's rule holds: nothing is claimed before it is checked.
1. Reports from machines other than mine. Most releases so far were made of what players reported, and later ones will be too. If something goes wrong, open an issue and attach
snap64.logfrom the folder with the executable (on a Mac, from~/Library/Application Support/Snap64 Recomp/; with the Flatpak, from~/.var/app/io.github.jackandbeans.Snap64Recomp/config/Snap64Recomp/).2. A physical Mac. The Mac build is made and run on GitHub's virtual Mac, where it boots, plays the Beach with its photos scored and loads a mod. No physical Mac has run it: its sound, its pads and its speed are unmeasured. The first report from one decides what it is. It needs macOS 14 or newer, on Apple Silicon or Intel. The first start is a right-click and Open, or on macOS 15 a double-click, then System Settings > Privacy & Security > Open Anyway.
3. A Linux desktop. The native build has run on a Steam Deck in both modes and under WSL, and on no Linux desktop yet; the first report from one is wanted.
4. Linux on ARM64 and the Flatpak. Both arrived in 1.1.1 and are built on GitHub's machines, and no machine has played the game from either. The ARM64 build wants a Raspberry Pi 5, an ARM laptop or a Linux virtual machine on a Mac. The Flatpak wants a Steam Deck or any desktop with Flatpak:
flatpak install --user Snap64Recomp-1.1.5-linux-x86_64.flatpak, then start it from the application menu.5. Gyro on a controller. Gyro aim is confirmed on a Steam Deck and on no other pad. A DualSense, a DualShock 4 or a Switch Pro controller would settle it: turn on Options > Controls > Gyro Aim and aim in a course.
A first report on any of 2 to 5 takes ten minutes. Start the game and choose your ROM, check the sound and your controller, ride the Beach once and see that your photos reach Prof. Oak, then start it again and see that your save is still there. Reply here with your machine, its system version and what happened. "It all worked" is as useful as a fault.
6. Smooth 2D, the last cases. A picture that slides past the side of a menu in a wide window still moves at the game's own rate.
7. Island Skies on your machine. The mod sets the island's hour and weather by your clock. Its sky, its rain and snow, and its moon have been checked here on recorded rides; a ride at your own hour, on your own machine, is the report that is wanted.
Done since this list was first written: the in-game rebinding page (#3, shipped in 1.0.6); every course played through with Widescreen on; the Deck's Gaming Mode and the corner flicker (1.0.4 and 1.0.5); fast forward and slow motion (1.0.8); the Options pages on any screen, the Mods page, and the renderer and the runtime carried as patches on their upstreams (1.0.9); the mod kit, public since 2026-09-20, and the first two mods, Unlimited Film and Unlock Everything; mods installed from the Mods page or a file dropped on the window, a mod's own details and options pages, the mouse on every menu, help lines that name the button in your hand, and the first Mac build (1.1.0); the keyboard on the photographer card, the mouse on the game's own questions and on Oak's photo check, the port's own pointer, Linux on ARM64, a Flatpak, and every archive built and signed on GitHub's machines (1.1.1); 2D pictures that cross the screen's edge, the viewfinder's frame, Oak's check and flowing water moving at the display's rate, the widescreen display out to the screen's edge, and a message for a graphics driver that is too old (1.1.2); four save files and the Game page, the sky without its seams, the Graphics page in three groups, the maximize button, mods that read the clock and speak on their page and over a course, and the first mod that changes the island, Island Skies (1.1.3); the Game page's second Snap Station switch taken out, its help line fitted to its box, its Save File row saying what each file holds, a Restart Game row, the Controls page's Pointer row no longer borrowing a mod's words, and its Button Setup row saying "Press A" (1.1.4); Super Sampling held to what the card's memory carries, a render target the card cannot make caught instead of crashed on, and the Switch Online N64 controller's C buttons read as the C buttons (1.1.5).
