Hi Hunter,
I'm a regular user of CodeWhale and really appreciate your work on this project.
I just noticed two unofficial extensions using the name CodeWhale have been published to the VS Code Marketplace:
HengQuWorld.brotherwhale-vscode (Publisher: HengQuWorld)
HaiTaoJiang.codewhale-vscode (Publisher: HaiTao Jiang)
Both were released on May 26, 2026, exactly 3 days after you renamed the project from DeepSeek-TUI to CodeWhale on May 23, 2026.
Neither publisher had any prior extensions, so their accounts appear to have been created specifically to release these wrap versions. There is currently no official VS Code extension from you or the CodeWhale team.
I noticed on your roadmap that the VS Code extension is listed as your top priority. Since these unofficial releases are already out there under the CodeWhale name, it would mean a lot to many of us if you could move forward with the official release as soon as possible — to help keep the community from getting confused or having the brand diluted by third-party builds.
