Project hierarchy broken in `summary` command

Two reports two different project hierarchies

projects -> correct
summary -> wrong

In my database (~800 tasks), the hierarchy matches for everything, but the sort of leaves is sometimes different, and summary does not include WAITING tasks (but project does). However when mine sorts differently, it's sorting the entire branch; it does not change the actual hierarchy.

In yours, the hierarchy does look different, but it does appear to be some kind of final-sort that gets done and ruins the hierarchy. Not reproduced in my data though...

What version are you using? By any chance can you export a sanitized subset of your task db that reproduces the issue?

I am not really sure i understand what sanitized subset means. can you help me with a script or a few commands i can run on my system and share the output that can help you in debugging?

I just meant some subset of your "task export" that when re-imported to a new database will demonstrate the issue. If you could do "task export > somefile" and then edit "somefile" to remove anything that should not be public and/or extraneous records not required to reproduce the issue. And then gzip and attach it here.
