Also seeing this message about extension being unavailable, with different behavior on two different macOS installs.

VS Code: v1.128.0 on macOS 26.5.2

• extension is reported by VS Code as "no longer available on the Extension Marketplace."
• extension is not working for me on this mac

VS Code: v1.128.0 on macOS 15.7.5

• extension is reported by VS Code as "no longer available on the Extension Marketplace."
• did not show the extension as not available until after I had restarted VS Code
• extension appears to still be working on this mac

In the meantime, you can download the VSIX from the release page in this repo, or from the open-vsx marketplace; Better Todo Tree seems only affected on the VSCode marketplace

Quick update after looking into this: I obviously did not remove/unpublish Better Todo Tree, and I'm absolutely not abandoning it. The Marketplace listing was locked/unpublished without any action from me, and I received no notice or explanation. On top of that, the publisher portal is giving me a 429 when I try to sign in...

I've contacted the VS Marketplace team directly, and opened this urgent support issue:

microsoft/vsmarketplace#2021

If you're affected, please indicate so in the Microsoft issue above Even a reaction or short comment could genuinely help with visibility and show Microsoft that this is affecting actual users.

I still don't have a confirmed reason from Microsoft, so I don't want to guess here. I'm doing everything I can to get the existing listing restored ASAP.

In the meantime, the latest v1.3.3 VSIX files are still available from GitHub Releases and Open VSX.

BTT is still very much alive and actively maintained. I've put an enormous amount of work into it, I'm continuing to work on it, and I'm absolutely not going anywhere!!! I'll update this issue the second Microsoft gives me an actual answer. Thank you everyone for reporting this and for your patience!!

If you, or anyone, genuinely wants to share to the VSMarketplace Team, in a comment on the issue 2021 above, your own opinion of how valuable the extension is in your eye compared to the abandoned Todo Tree, it would likely make it even clearer for the VSMarketplace team how important this extension is. ❤️ 🙏
