Bug stems from copy paste from core cloen and not doing anything above that.

Just disable all inputs or any other idea how to set the level of interactivity of the application option elelemnts in the editor???

Yes, please either disable all inputs and/or just link to the actual application form in the core client (this also helps avoid unnecessary code duplication)
